Nun in Rope Hell is a Japanese drama-horror exploitation film that follows Takako, a woman who retreats to a convent after a scandal involving her lover leaves her desperate to escape her troubled past. Hoping to find peace and a new beginning, she soon discovers that the seemingly religious sanctuary hides a disturbing secret. The nuns and a prominent writer connected to the convent are involved in a sinister world of manipulation, control, and bondage. As Takako becomes increasingly trapped in the convent's dark environment, her attempt to find redemption turns into a disturbing struggle for freedom and survival. The film is based on a story by Oniroku Dan and was produced by Nikkatsu.
